If You Had Eyes Poem by David Tierney

If You Had Eyes

A cloud drifts in the sky
I wonder where it's going
It doesn't seem to care
It doesn't care how it looks
Tall, small, a lion, or a goat
It does not care who mocks it
It doesn't care who praises it
It has no wants or needs
I stare at it in jealousy
It has no eyes to see
