If You Were Here Poem by Ray Hansell

If You Were Here

The warmth of a summer breeze
Caresses my face
It feels as soft and gentle
As your hands upon me

The sweetness of your voice
Rings gently in my ears
Like a Sunday church bell
It always sounds so good

When your sweet lips kiss me
It always makes my heart smile
You make the birds all sing
The skies all turn to blue

Every day that you are near
That is a perfect day
I know my days would stay this way
If every day you were near
