I'll Come Looking For You Poem by Whitney Nicole Albright*

I'll Come Looking For You

It seems ages have passed,
Since I've set eyes on your sweet face.
As days have rolled on, I've missed your presence,
And longed for your embrace.

But one day the impossible miles won't matter,
This I know to be true.
For every day lived is one more closer,
Until the day I can get to you.

I'll come looking for you, for you.
Yes, I'll come looking for you.
When it's time for me to pass through,
I'll come looking for you.

I've often considered heaven's wonders,
The sites to behold, the rivers shining.
Mansions scattered along the hillside,
Pressed against clouds with silver lining.

The first thing some will do is admire the angels,
Or marvel at their own bodies made anew.
Maybe they'll choose to dance on the streets of gold,
But I'll come looking for you.

I'll come looking for you, for you.
Yes, I'll come looking for you.
When it's time for me to pass through,
I'll come looking for you.

I want to fall at the feet of Jesus.
I'll rejoice and sing and shout.
There will be no greater moment for me,
Than to hear my name called out.

You know I love him above all.
And meeting him can't compare.
But I still want you to lead me to him.
So won't you meet me there?

I'll come looking for you, for you.
Yes, I'll come looking for you.
When it's time for me to pass through,
I'll come looking for you.

I'll enjoy my life in this old world.
I'll be the best person I can.
I'll cherish the sunsets, precious friends
And be a guiding hand.

I'll find happiness in little things.
I'll love like crazy, too.
But just know that when I reach that glad land,
I'll come running for you.

I'll come looking for you, for you.
Yes, I'll come looking for you.
When it's time for me to pass through,
I'll come looking for you.
