Illuminati Poem by Eric Rhodes

Illuminati

Rating: 0.5

With the naive arrogance of success
I stepped to the cliff edge.
confident, I wore my intellectual
reason like a cloak of invincibility.
This is mine
reverberated through my
powerful body.
It must of been the breeze
from your laughter, my love,
that shook my balance.
That moment was the last time
the sand castle of arrogance
reigned.
Now, shattered like a wine glass
I am the one laughing
at my stunted stems
which finally exposed
to the light of your touch
unfurl like sails in the sea breeze.
unknowing, I now just bask
in your garden of love.
