I'm Here Poem by Panda Broussard

I'm Here

Your thoughts, your words unspoken,
Consumed my mind.
Left me empty and broken.
The viscous beggar,
The repeater of epic fails.
The holder of flaws,
The pirate with no sail.
The lost log drifting endless without purpose.
To crave any morsel of affection yet to be tossed a pebble.
You transformed my love to aching, my warmth to snow.
I crumbled down, down as far as down can go.
I once came alive in the depth,
I evaporated.
You did not see me anymore, my voice became the wind.
Was I a spirit now,
Do I have flesh at all?
I float around in a ball of need,
Where am I? The smiley, twisted, sun shiny ray of light?
The formed puzzle's last piece.
The figure of joy and peace.
Turning back to the mirrored wall,
The glass treated, to expose it's captors.
The eyes, yes the eyes!
Deep through the blue grey swirl,
I'm there, it's not too past the hour.
