Missing You Poem by Panda Broussard

Missing You

Today the knife twists deep,
Tears are a constant weep.
That face could ease this pain,
Impossible the wish remains.
Paradise has your sweet smile.
Eyes would stare a long while.
Arms wrapped tightly.
Holding the edge of heaven slightly.
In the darkness of the mind,
A perfect image starts to unwind.
A hillside in spring,
Creates the view of the still dream.
Grass is green and the sky is clear,
There in the peace you appear.
A shade tree lets beams through.
A warm flutter of feelings start to brew.
Then your smile explodes release,
A head tilt, a smirk, a tease.
Tranquility eases in to say,
Everything is going to be ok.
Awake in the room here,
Close them again so the view will reappear.
Too late, it is gone.
Back to remembering alone.
