Imagining A Vessel In A Rock On A Beach Poem by Johanna Boal

Imagining A Vessel In A Rock On A Beach

Rating: 2.5

I was crumbled, like grains of sand
a boat, a canoe, a simple thing
made out of those trees, up there on that land.
I was carved lovingly, by tiny hands
and floated on that big blue sea.
The waves crushed me and broke me
now I am here in this inlet,
a family huddles around me.
