Impact Poem by Kristina Jordan

Impact

Rating: 5.0

As I sit here passing time
Writing words that will never speak
Words that fall apon deaf ears
Time will pass
I'm none the wiser
Playing games
Awaiting a simple answer
That answer I know I fear
Never to be known
So many words
What do they mean
Time will still pass
All things fade
Insignificant
Lonley words
Traveling the distance forever unknown
Smile now my dear
I hear wispered in my left ear
your words mean something to me
This writing you do
These words you utter
My ears are not deaf
My mouth will speak
I'll tell of the wonders brought forth in words
I'll scream to the silence that fills our world
Your words will rise above the city
All who hear will tear will laugh
I love you and the words you write
Our lives so filled with happiness would not be
I use to read all the things you wrote
You would sit and write and write
Always leaving your papers behind
All of us would read,
When you left the room
I fell in love with your writing first
That is how I came to love you
Through your words
So don't get discouraged
Thinking you will never be heard
I heard, I responded
Now our lives are filled with joy
You will never know the impact you have
If you never wrote
I shudder to think of how life would now be
Never give up, your words mean more than you know
