Impatience Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Impatience

Impatience to lose patience.
Today?
Has no time for anyone,
To hesitate or procrastinate...
Which decision to make.
And direction to take.
That benefits,
The quality of life.
Moving forward all,
As one human race.

For centuries to come and go,
Too much time...
Has been spent,
On who has more power...
To grant consent or resent,
An image presented.
An image that represents,
A continuation...
Of pretentious foolishness.
With a daily doses given,
Of unrelenting nonsense.
A nonsense based,
On skin color covering...
A labelling to identify,
Nothing more...
Than what appears.
On the surface to approve.
Or reject acceptance.
Regardless of the coverup,
Gone to ignore...
That which is underneath.

This to explore,
Is not or has ever been...
A pioneering adventure.
Yet...
Something to profile,
Is giving attention to compare.
A new discovery,
To bring awareness...
With it hoped to end despair.
Isolation has its affect,
On relieving...
Mental insecurities!

However...
No progress to initiate it,
Has as of yet...
Been documented,
With evidence and proof.
Provided to reveal,
Ignorance and stupidity...
Had been,
The main ingredients.
Required to validate,
A necessity for progress made.
Although...
Determined are so many,
In these conflicting times.
Who still wish to convince...
Their ignorance and stupidity,
Is a prerequisite...
For obtaining common sense!
A common sense to have it,
Without fiction to delude...
Truth for what it is.
Regardless how vivid,
Creating of fantasies can be!
To live them limitless.
