In A Moonbeam Poem by Peter Bain

In A Moonbeam

She's standing in a moonbeam
A truly wondrous sight
A sparkling dazzling angel
A lady of the night

Her hair is blowing softly
She has a certain style
Looking up towards me
I catch a fleeting smile

Fixated by her beauty
Captured in her light
She makes her way towards me
The moonbeam shining bright

I feel her warmth surround me
As I taste her gentle kiss
Then morning comes upon me
I realize what I miss

My life by day is empty
I've had the broken heart
I'm tired of chasing shadows
It's tearing me apart

Maybe I am damaged
Maybe I'm just weak
Escaping from the daylight
Brings the happiness that I seek

Falling into darkness
I never want to wake
My lady in the moonbeam
My heart is yours to take
