In A Somber Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

In A Somber

Eyes, kindled in luminescence
Tears, sweet like wine on my lips
Nose, pointed with a bony prominence
Scent, a world woven as my own

Hair, flowing in resilience
The luster, alive in resplendence.
Lips, pliant and supple
In a vivid color of blue and purple

Shoulders, tiny and comfortable
To cry on that is, if I am able
Face, simian and curved beauty
Memorized its features to bask in a memory

Hands, cottony and affectionate
When clasp with mine, alive and passionate
Without yours, mine: blunted and frozen
My heart, restless and broken.

Your soul, endowed with tranquility
Together with mine, reveling in ecstasy.
Mine without yours, enchained in misery
When forever, this be a dream.
