In A World Of Six Billion People Poem by Francis Duggan

In A World Of Six Billion People

In a World of six billion people or more
A drain on resources as never before
The polar ice caps are melting and sea water levels rise
Our disrespect for our environment on our behalf not wise
Climate change is for real in a World where pollution is rife
And survival much harder for all forms of life
Will our abuse of our Earth Mother bring an end to Humankind
To the folly of our ways we do seem quite blind
Global Warming is for real and what seems more of the shame
That Humankind for it are mostly to blame
For a World of six billion plus people the future not looking great
It would seem our own extinction we are trying to create
The Polar ice caps are melting at a rapid rate
For to save our Planet have we left it too late?
