In Case It Exists Poem by Neo Patricia Monamodi

In Case It Exists

In case it exists, I wouldn't care about your money and wealth
I'd care if you can afford the cost of love
If you can pay attention to little things
If you can afford being a father

I wouldn't care about the beauty of your body
I'd need to know if you can stand the pain of love
If you can stand the pressures of life
If you have the strength to hold and never let go
If you can stand for love and never let go

I wouldn't need supernatural powers from you
I'd want to know that you will not break the spell
That you can ascend from the lowest moments
That you can rise from you death bed
That you can burn the fire between our hearts forever

I'd need to know you will not fall when I lean on you
That you can come to my darkest moments and not fear
That you can stand with me under the falling snow and not shiver
That you have the strength to stand steady at the edge of a mountain
That you will catch me if I fall deep in love with you

I wouldn't want you to build me the house of my dreams
I'd need to know if you can turn the shack I stay in into a home
That you will not let me spend cold nights alone
That you will listen to my poems and chords
That you will dance to the tune I make on my broken guitar
That you will let me be forever in love with you
Just in case it exists...
