In darkness, in shadows

In darkness
I crept
In shadows
I crawl

In darkness
I wake
howling pointlessly
at the moon
dancing next to
a fire I made
to a fire
that brings me pride
and alone
I dance
with no one
to relish
in my act
of God

In shadows
I live
like a memory
invoked
by an act
of a stranger
or an object
similar
to a gift
I gave you
for the success
of your heart

In darkness
In shadows
as a recluse
I exist

Poem of the Day

poet Christopher Marlowe

It lies not in our power to love or hate,
For will in us is overruled by fate.
When two are stripped, long ere the course begin,
