In Dreams

Often in my wondering ways I find
That dreams are only for the dreamer
I find that life can give to my nothing
But the dreams I give to it
I am nothing more than a sultry siren upon these shores
I am she

I am she who lies in wait
I am she who gives you grief
I am she who takes your life
And upon the rock shall smash your very bones
For I am she the one who you cannot keep
I am she the one you cannot have
I am she
The devil in your mind

This in dreams I saw
I saw her face
And I knew her name was
She
She
The one of whom I seek
The one who I as man will never want to keep
But in every aspect of this dream
In every aspect of this life
In every aspect yes it seems
Full of trouble and of strife

The one person for whom I long
That person it is she
She the one who hates
She the one who gives
And she the one who takes
My spirit, my heart, my soul
She the one I love
The one who takes my dreams
And shatters them against the rock that is my life
She that makes Me
Me
