In Loving Memory Of Roselie Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

In Loving Memory Of Roselie

I shed tears that you are gone, my little rose
I close my eyes and pray that you will come back
When I open my eyes and see all that you have left
My heart is empty because I can't see you now
My little rose, you always put a smile on my face,
The day that I felt that you were taken from me,
My heart broke like anything
I dropped down to my knees and cried
And asked God to give you more time.
All I wanted was for one more day with you.
As I sit here at your grave looking but I can't inscribe a stone
All I want to do is hug you tightly and kiss your head
I miss you so much, my little rose
And when you died, the whole house felt the pain.
You were only 11 years old; you didn't deserve to die.
You've been gone for many days now, and I miss you like hell.
I think about you every moment.
I look at your picture on my cell phone my eyes start to water.
I will never forget you, my little rose.
I love you and miss you, but I know that you're in heaven
Looking over all of us. I can't wait until I get to see you again.

The pain of a child's death is hard to bear. But I hope expressing the pain can heal the soul to some extent. Beautifully poignant ink!
