In Need Of Therapy Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

In Need Of Therapy

You've been too busy,
To pay attention.
Just too busy,
To hear the facts.
You've been too busy,
To want to know...
What's going on behind your back.
You've been too busy,
Passing judgements.
And too busy,
With that to do.
You've been too busy,
Not to pay attention...
Who is doing that to you too.

Now you want to waste my time.
Picking all over my mind.
Trying to find a clue,
If I knew...
Who said what.
When and where about you.

I've been too busy,
Minding my own business.
Like I suggested to you to do.
But you were too busy,
Telling me...
What others do you did not approve.
Your friends, relatives and neighbors too.
And did you listen?
To pay me any attention?
No.
So now you want it understood,
What you can't seem to understand.

I'm going to say this again.
And it will be the last time.
Find a way to mind your own business.
With this done to discover,
Less busy you will become.
To pass judgement or criticize,
Anyone to believe,
You're not the one in need of therapy.

"What do you mean? "

Some P.H.
Not much.
Just a touch.

"P.H.?
What is that? "

Professional help!

"Me?
What about you? "

I've got two sessions left.
And hopefully if you take my advice,
I won't be in need for any more.
