In Our Today Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

In Our Today

Shock and the veil of unbelief
Cloaks the mind with numbness.
More deaths bring about sudden grief
More killings, all so senseless!

Where is the end, the finish line?
For Hate to reach its close.
What cause or reason could define
Their demise and untimely repose?

Just news that flash in our today
A day that becomes mere History.
Questions remain, and yet we pray
For we live in times of uncertainty

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The victims of San Bernardino were just ordinary innocent people celebrating a Christmas party. They were happy with what they believed in, yet the killers hated them for it and killed them, because it clashed with their religion.
