In That Hotel Room Poem by Dorsey Baker

In That Hotel Room

For the first time in his life
alone in that hotel room
the darkness seem to break its silence
and he heard it speak
he felt afraid
the room seemed like a prison
and he felt like a prisoner
in that hotel room
he felt the fear of being alone
in nothing but a blanket of darkness
he felt so afraid
that his body began to shake!
like being alone in an elevator
with the door closed
and the elevator has stopped moving!
you feel trapped
he was trapped
in the stillness of the night
captured by the darkness
with nothing or no one to protect
him from his fears!
