In The Distance Poem by Robert Roberts

In The Distance

I watch her everyday,
as she slowly fades away
Her smile dimmer than before
My heart heavier than ever
She loves him as much as i love her
But his heart belongs to another
The muffled cries beneath the georgous smiles the tears the run down the mirror when no ones looking,
The way her hair brush back and her eyes sparkle does he notice it like i do
Does he miss her like i do
I feel the shadows when i lay up at night
She feels the coldness of the sheets as she cry
As he lays gently in the arms of his lover
Softly and tender,
She walks in the midst of thier shadow as they walk hand in hand, her thought on him my thoughts on her
But she wont feel my touch
And my smiles wont Luminate
Her touch is all i want
Just the chance to dry her eyes once again
Let her tears be mine,
Luring in the shadows unrecognized
