In The Garden

Sitting in the garden
underneath the sun
chilling, just relaxing
smiling having fun.
Water balloons and bubbles
paddling pool and slides
even getting out the bike
going for a ride.

Sitting in the garden
watching life go by,
bees go hunting pollen
flies fight in the skies.
Baby birds are singing
wanting to be fed
spiders stir and start to work
mending broken webs.

Sitting in the garden
in the midday sun
flowers stretch and come live
displays for everyone.
Whilst ivy's on the up and up
climbing around the trellis
intermingled leaves delight
playing hooky with the fellas.

Sitting in the garden
sun has gone to bed
time to tidy up again
put all the stuff away.
Hope the sun will call again
redo it all tomorrow
if it rains instead of sun
may fill me full of sorry.

Underneath the sun! And to respect nature. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful poem, so much to see and do in the garden if it's a nice day.

'spiders stir and start to work mending broken webs.' really liked this line, spinning, restoration of web life :)
