Inflexibility Poem by Don Pengilly

Inflexibility

Inflexibility how I hate you
So intolerant no benefit of doubt
So inconceivably intolerant
Your totally evil is your shout

No forgiveness is in your tone
Flexibility is no bed mate
Things that step right out of line
You seethe and writhe with hate

No forgiveness is your chorus
Your inflexibility hell bent
You show your fist at all that falls
With judgement no relent

I sometimes wonder if this life
Was ever meant for you
Inflexibility you can’t survive
In this world of cry and hue

As you’re here you have to understand
That life’s not quite like this
A degree of flexibility
Would not go amiss

A degree of flexibility
Is order of the day
For judgement and intolerance
Will not have it’s sway
