Injected With Rejection Poem by Felix Lugo

Injected With Rejection

I got rejected because the flowers i bought was not good enough.
The time I spent writing those letters was written with the wrong ink color.
The clothes I bought had stripes instead of patterns.
The place was clean yet the food was cold.
My scent of that expensive perfume happened to set off a allergy unknown.
I reached for a kiss too soon.
My nerves got the best of me yet I felt I had a chance.
I tried to hold the hand that would make me calm.
Yet it was only me reaching to turn off the alarm.
One can only dream what you meant to me....
I made you smile and laugh and it did last.
It ended with at least a kiss on the cheek.
Yet, you still rejected me. #inspired
