Ink-Stained Love, Across The Divide Poem by Humaira Raviya

Ink-Stained Love, Across The Divide

Raviya Humaira

Amidst the chaos of a world at war
She waits for her love when she pours her heart's desire
In the clouds of conflict, they both implore,
For a future where they can be happily together.

He's a hero, brave and strong,
Fighting for what's right, against all wrong
In her heart, his love is where she belongs,
Waiting for the day when she'll hear his song.

Through the fragile paper they share, their love takes flight,
A lifeline to hope in the darkest of nights.
Their dreams of a life, where everything's right,
Where there will be peace, without any war or fright.

She counts the days until he's back in sight,
To marry her love, with all her might.
Through war rages on, with all its might,
Soaring through the darkness, in the seek of lights.

In the face of uncertainty, they hold on tight,
Knowing their love will win the fight.
On paper thin, a promise she endures
A testament to their bond, forever pure.
To wait for his return.
