Insecurities Poem by Dior Graham

Insecurities

It starts with the ink-less pen,
The empty mirror.
Inviting you... come inside it says, we are always open.
With the solitude of your reflection,
and the mutal mistake of vanity.
We are too quick, to say ok.

Now you stare at nothing,
Complaining that this is not what's on the label.
And what was once concidered emptiness,
is now cluttered ranting,
about how it isn't good enough.
But only dissapointment stares back at us.

Then the loneliness cries out for our company.
but we do not refuse it the luxury.
Yet we do not know why,
Since it only repays us with doubt.
We sit and think of strategies of how to achieve what we have already obtained,
and plan new ways to defeat gratitude.

And again it ends with the liquidy vision,
The sorrowful spirit.
Rejecting you... go away it says, never come back.
With the accumulation of our thoughts,
and the mutual mistake of insecurities.
We are too quick, to say ok.

This is the best reflective write I've read to date... You use of the ink less pen describes so perfectly the sighing moment felt when one is not too happy with our silent twin. I understand this write so well...(how I see it) .. Thoroughly good write Karen
