Insignificant Poem by Rain Gill

Insignificant

ornamental chili lights
strung lucidly along
the balcony
cast an iridescent
scarlet glow
too weak to be noticed
from the street below
but strong enough
to cast shadows
in which we can
hide
away from the noise
and hum of the city
where we become
insignificant
