Insomniac Of '09 Poem by Charlotte Andreski

Insomniac Of '09

White walls to you
They’re black to me
Confined in the prison
Of my own Misery

You force me to come here
And you suck up, still call me your dear
Mom, you have no clue
What this has done to me

I’m trapped, locked up
All I want is home
Where the ghosts don’t linger
Round the corners of this freakin dome

It’s filled with girls
They’re not like me
But we’re all trapped
In self-taught misery

We deserve nothing better
For the deeds we have done
The people we resist
They carry the guns

Call the security
An ambush of insanity
When they get here
We’re slumped in fear

Another death in the dome
Another ghost of the halls
We all see them walking
We all hear them talking

What’s wrong
What the insanity
This bull smacks my face
It’s profanity
