Inspiration From The Past Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Inspiration From The Past

We admire great men, with the higher I.Q.
Thanking them for their wisdom, steadfast and sure.
On them God bestowed the great gift of power.
To enrich and improve the wealth of our world.

Where would we be without marvels from history
Names such as Fleming, Newton and Baird?
The Clifton Bridge by Brunel would be just a dream
If not for the intellect of the glorious dead.

So may we be humble ~ praising men for their wisdom
They lift us up high, should we stumble and fall...
Great thinkers, inventors, 'divine spirit' christians
Who knew how to use their gift. We pay reverence to all.
