Integrity Isn'T Automatically Achieved Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Integrity Isn'T Automatically Achieved

They've been amongst us.
Crooks and thieves.
Discreet deceivers...
Doing as they please.
To receive what is believed,
Are entitlements one should get.

Integrity isn't automatically achieved.
If examples are not set at birth...
The possibilities of exposing one to scandal,
Becomes for them the rule.
An encouraged acknowledgement.
And not the exception one follows.
