Interview Poem by Peter Edwards

Interview

At the dark barred gates
He hesitated before going on
New suit smart yet constraining
The grey reception beckoned
Unfamiliar faces and situation
Thoughts racing composure fading
The positive light dull but still shining
Stepping out from the grey shadow
That is today and into a bright tomorrow
Smiles crack solemn faces
Exposing real opportunities
To break the rhythm of the rat race
