Invisible Poem by sharnae andison

'I feel so lost and alone,
Like no one see's or hear's me when I speak.
Its almost like I am invisibly living,
I'm here, but I'm not.'
You see, this is the problem with being like everyone else.
If you try to fit in, you wont be visibly yourself.
To be seen you need to be different,
You have to be you.
It doesn't matter where I come from,
Whats happened in my past,
It's who I am now that everyone see's.
Everyone has something about them that people notice.
Maybe it's your smile,
Or maybe it's the way you live.
Whatever it is, it wakes YOU.
Don't try and change yourself,
You would have to change everything,
Why?
Because you don't really know what it is 'they' don't like.
All you need to do is be like a Caterpillar.
Build your cocoon,
Grow your wings when you are ready,
Then fly away from the past.
