I saw the first star of tonight
slowely step into her place
an early sleeper
her bed inviting and warm
I thought of you
and where you would be
as the second star
came in to sleep
her bed inviting and warm
then all the stars
large and small
far and tall
the early sleepers
and the midnight creepers
came in to sleep
their beds inviting and warm
away from the storm
under which I sit
Having sworn
To sleep in your bed inviting and warm
