Inward Happiness Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Inward Happiness

See the things around
And gain ground
Poet’s mind is fertile
And functions in its own style

Mostly human suffering is in mind
As it appears inevitable and very much unkind
We are looking helpless
With gloom on face

The life is totally unpredictable
And full of struggle
With no escape route
To think and talk about

Once opportunity is slipped away
It is difficult to stay
On slippery ground
Even if made turn around

Natural surroundings appeal
And look real
We write and get some inward happiness
That is all we can do to bring smile on face

Inward Happiness

Hasmukh ji, as usual your poetic appreciation takes me years back when you had a stanza or two for each poem on Your Space. You keep the fire burning. Thank you, dear friend.
