Iridescent Feather* Poem by Cat Hodgson

Iridescent Feather*

Iridescent Feather

Iridescent feather floating through my space
Whispering on the breeze a romantic breath

Tell me where you came, of your story flight
On my pillow dreams, as I lay tonight

I‘ll listen contently at your stories told
How you came to be, so beautiful and bold

Are you a relic from another earthly realm?
Of an endless fight where I nor' to see

Oh iridescent feather floating through my space
Where did you come from without trail to trace?

I watched you fall from heavens cloudless sky
Caught you in my fingertips when you floated by

I held you in my hand, straight from heaven's door
Now time to let you go, I can't hold you anymore

With my breath, I send you once again in flight
Hoping for you all the best, in everywhere you light

Psalm 68: 13
