Isaiah 6: 1-8 / Here I Am, Send Me Poem by Sujay Sam

Isaiah 6: 1-8 / Here I Am, Send Me

I saw the Lord seated upon a throne;
High and Lifted up; Seraphim around Him flown.
All around His lofty throne, His train filled the temple.
The foundations of the door at the sound of seraphim trembled.

Each seraphim with six wings yet with only two they fly;
Two cover their face and their feet; His glory alone they testify.
Crying to another proclaiming the Lord of Hosts, 'Holy, Holy, Holy! '
To each other they cried, 'The entire earth is full of His glory! '

Then I said, 'Woe is me! For I am undone! '
'For I am a man of such an unclean tongue. '
Living among people; with unclean lips they sing!
For my eyes have seen the Lord; my eyes have seen the King!

Then flew a seraphim unto me, a glowing coal in his hand
With tongs from the altar that touched my mouth and He commands,
'For this has touched your lips and your iniquity has been removed! '
'Your sins have been atoned for; your sins have been purged. '

I heard the voice of the Lord saying
'Who should I send? Who will go for us? '
Then I said, 'Here I am, Send me. '
