It Is All Forgotten Poem by Shalom Freedman

It Is All Forgotten

It is all forgotten
Even the stars will be forgotten
Even the sun the moon and the blue sea
Even night
Even light
It is all forgotten
And so we in our small place in our small time
With our great sadness and thought
Know what we know when we know
Understand too to the end
What will be with our understanding
Forgotten all forgotten.
