It Is Summer Somewhere Poem by Michelle Melody

It Is Summer Somewhere

In your cold little corner of the world
A loving smile the only thing that keeps you holding on,
you tread on with faint pursuit.
It is Summer somewhere, a sweet
refrain.

It is Winter in your life
yet his sweet laugh, the twinkle
of his eyes.
You tuck him in safely,
trudging through uncertainty...
how you will provide?
It is Summer somewhere, a sweet refrain

Moment to moment,
the worry a Cancer,
consuming the moments.
You touch his dear face...
It is a cure to this illness worry.
It is Summer somewhere, a sweet
refrain

You are not beyond begging,
his safety and wellbeing
your constant push to
keep on this unsure path.
He sleeps like an Angel
It is Summer somewhere, a sweet
refrain

Staring at the uncertainty-worry Abyss
It is Summer somewhere...
Echos over the wide endless ravine... It is Summer somewhere...
It is Summer somewhere...
