It Is Too Quiet
It is too quiet
It is difficult not be lonely
The day has been long
There has been so much time
To do the work I am supposed to love
But it is so quiet
And no one has tried to speak with me
Through the long afternoon
And I feel loneliness as sadness
And wonder why and how
With nothing especially wrong
I feel so alone and so sad
And so, lost as to what to do.
