It's Impossible To Say Good-Bye. Poem by Brett White

It's Impossible To Say Good-Bye.

Sometimes it's impossible to say good-bye,
And easier to lay in bed and just cry.
Waiting on you has taken forever,
But my love I am unable to sever.
Severe was the last day that I held you,
Since that day my hope has fallen like dew.
My heart is comprised of endless scar-tissue,
In tears, I just wanted to ask, "How are you? ".
I manage to cope but the pain never leaves,
And my scarred heart my sad Spirit deceives.
I wait like a dog whose master is gone,
Patiently by the door from dusk til dawn.
It seems like I'll wait for Eternity,
Replaying visions of you beside me,
Twirling your hair while into my eyes staring,
These memories are ours alone for sharing.
No matter where you are, keep your smile lit,
And I'll stay hopeless, lost, and desperate.
