It's love, it's hate

It's love, It's hate
Two opposites, two extremes
Two emotions that overwhelm
Two emotions that can tear you apart.

Love and Hate
So different
Yet so much the same

As one falls in love
It can be a beautiful thing
But as hate sets in
Prepare for the sting

They can both hold you back
They can tear away dreams
But if you keep them in track
They become a perfect team

Don't fall too far in the depths of love
Don't get caught too long in the clutches of hate
When you use them just right they fit like a glove
But lean too far towards one and it could cause a horrible fate

Dont fall in by the anonymous shove
Never get pulled in by the thought of love
Keep it simple unless you can handle the denial
The hurt will pour in like a flood from the Nile

Hold on tight and follow your heart
Never dwell inside your waking hate
You'll live your life in the pitch of dark
And if you dive in too far you will never escape

Love and Hate
Day and Night
Good and Evil
Opposites in their own rights
They are a balance
Without one there is no other
Without either, what is left?

Without either all there is
Is just an unbalanced world
Within an unbalanced world
We cannot survive

It's love, It's hate
Two opposites, two extremes
Two emotions that overwhelm
Two emotions that can tear you apart

It's love, it's hate
It's the balance of forces
It's the dark, it's the light
Choose a side and prepare for a fight

Some say the world would be better without hate
But this isn't true
Hate is a way of protection
It's a way of safety

With hate, painful things don't hurt so much
Hate eases the pain
It keeps us alert
It holds us down to earth

But hate can get out of hand
It can swell up in our minds
It's a light switch
It all goes dark

Love is too vulnerable
When love crashes, it rips us to shreds
Love makes us ignorant
It fogs up our heads

But love makes us human
It gives us something to search for
It's a sense of hope
It's a sense of happiness

It's love, it's hate
Two opposites, two extremes
Two emotions that overwhelm
Two emotions that can tear you apart

It's love, it's hate
There what makes us human
There what keep us sane
They hold us together in their own special way

It's love, it's hate
It's our worlds everlasting fate

It's love, it's hate
Love and Hate
Love and Hate

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Edward Housman

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
