It's My Imagination Poem by Janet M. Cason

It's My Imagination

It's my imagination running away with me,
I see you in my arms holding me tightly,
caressing me all over, kissing me, hugging me,
as we sway in the swing under the tree,
as the leaves fall in the autumn wind.

Your feather skin melts within my bones,
as we become one under the sun.
The stars light your eyes in the dark,
welcoming the moisture created by our sensation,
and inspiration of reaching our destination within each other,
as if this meeting will never happen again.
Our hearts beat as one in the rhythm of music.
Our bodies dance to the same tune together,
over and over, "It's My Imagination,
Running Away With Me" sings, The Temptation.
