It’s One Life Poem by Joanna Gonzalez

It’s One Life

It’s a beautiful life…
when the breath of existence evokes your senses;
you want to look beyond your destination
to embrace the tender soul that awaits you in the other side,
you want to feel those passionate and extraordinary emotions
that are beyond that boundary.
You want to smell the heavens that are not far off your reach
in order to approach perfection.
You want to engage into the sound of the stream of serenity
so that your love won’t wash away.
You want to taste the sweetness of satisfaction and paradise
to obtain everything that is beautiful, in all the powers of this earth.-
Walking with eternity: that’s the life worth fighting for.

It’s a terrible life…
when all you have lived for dies away and is blown to ashes;
you gaze upon horror that shouldn’t exist,
the world is torn with every ounce of venom exerted from the mouths of liars.
You feel fear seep through your body
but it is too late to grab salvation;
you catch the scent of the harsh fire that is deep within
but redemption is not near the corner.
You hear your love ascend to the other side
but darkness settles in your world.
You taste the bitter realization of solitude
and it pours slowly without an end.-
Drowning with sins: that’s the life you should be willing to surrender.

I can see your point of view.. still you would not be so perceptive if this life of sin did not wear the smile that you glow in.. when it is that you know what it is..iip
