Itseems That Even Shakespeare Poem by Shalom Freedman

Itseems That Even Shakespeare

It seems that even Shakespeare
When the silicon minds
Come to succeed humanity
And spread ‘Intelligence'
As far perhaps
As to the end of the Local Cluster
Will also be forgotten,
Or stored and transformed into something
No non- human thing
Can really understand-

And so
There will not be
‘But thy eternal summer shall not fade'
And
‘So long lives this and this gives life to thee'
But only the doom of being remembered
In a wholly strange and not too human way
