it should've been me that you hold tight,
to be my duvet in the night,
you should've sheltered me from the rain,
not break my heart, and cause me pain,
you should've listened to what i had to say,
instead i just watched you walk away,
i wanted to feel your arms around my waist,
but i hid away, couldn't bare to show my face,
it should've been me planning our wedding,
it should've been me changing our bedding,
but i guess it was fate, and we wern't meant to be,
but you were cruel, and you destroyed me,
we should've been the ones planning our life,
but it isn't be who's gona become your wife,
i swear down, what i said was true,
i'd have given you my world,
coz i thought the world of you!
but i knew that day you left,
this pain and hurt would linger,
as i felt you slipping through my fingers,
i still ask myself why and how?
all that is left is goodbye now!
