It Was Your Sadness Poem by Heather Z. Hanna

It Was Your Sadness

What does your poem speak to you?
Did it help you make the decision,
To choose your life instead of it being chosen for you?

I cannot feel sorry for your choice to live as you do.
I celebrate your discovery.

You say it is at a cost so very dear
That you cannot speak of it.
It comes too close to your Heart and soul
Your core is shaken if you approach it.

I don't know why this makes me cry
It is as the other night when you thought
I felt sorry for you.

It was your sadness I touched.
I cannot help it.
It will pass.
I will be fine.
