Its Own Strength

the soaring eagle
knows not its strength
until a hunter send a bullet
across the sky.
the challenge taken
to beat the hunter's bullet
may speed the wings flutter
to a speed for survival
a sign of its capacity
to withstand the odds
for the continuity of a sustainable race.
