I have cut
The jack-fruit tree.

Jack-fruit, I know,
The wholesome fruit,
High in carbohydrates.

I have cut
The jack-fruit tree.

Jack-fruit, I know,
From it
Nothing goes waste.

I have cut
The jack-fruit tree.

Jack-fruit, I know,
Ripe and unripe,
Its nutritional value.

I have cut
The jack-fruit tree.

But I am interested to
Eat Jack-fruit,
In so many ways,
As a curry, pickle,
In biryani.
I taste jack-fruit
Ice cream and
Milk shake.

But alas, I have cut
The jack-fruit tree.
