Jacqueline D. Harrell (In Memorial) Poem by Luke Easter

Jacqueline D. Harrell (In Memorial)

Are you sure it’s going to be ok because sometimes it’s hard to tell,
Angel Food Ministries just lost the brightest Angel, Jackie Harrell,
Now more than ever we need to, “walk by faith and not by sight, ”
“Lean not to our own understanding” and trust it will be all right.

I can hear, “Father, my work at Damascus was far from through, ”
“Jackie my child, there’s plenty of work here in the Kingdom too,
Your sincerity did not go un-noticed neither that kind, true desire,
Some of the many reasons My Son & I have brought you higher.”

“You will be My assistant in the, Division of Lightning Strikes, ”
Bam! Down goes, “Touchdown Jesus” in the middle of the night,
“Very good Jacqueline, your first assignment, a burning success,
Unlike you daughter, many of My children do not give their best.”

Wow! Only your second night on the job, already it’s time to promote,
Talk about efficiency, other Angel’s use 4 or 5, you only needed 1 bolt,
Once again, it just goes to prove although strange to us, Father knows,
In Jehovah’s infinite wisdom exactly who should stay & who should go.

Mother of Kimberly, Carletta, and Kourtney, a grandmother of two,
Sister of Cheryl and Danny, very Beloved not just from but for you,
We mourn this passing being called home on Sunday June 13,2010,
Cherished spouse of Reverend Harrell. A host of relatives & friends.

Family let us dwell not in sadness because she is no longer by our side,
Instead we celebrate as Christians and mirror her ways in our own lives,
Her name’s not in pencil but ink securely written in the, “Book of Life, ”
If we could sneak a peek we’d see Samuel’s name right below his wife.

Yes angels are in service but it’s hard to tell who here’s the reason why,
More often than not they are undercover, as God has them in disguise,
But, oh no! In this case it was just the opposite of Harrell, Jacqueline D,
Loving kindness in such abundance, impossible to hide her true identity,

6/18, Rogers Funeral Home 7-9 P.M. a musical service, let everyone sing
A going away festival of the honor, joy & fellowship her smile did bring,
Monday June 21, Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, laid to rest,
A mansion prepared by the hands of Jesus is her new permanent address.
