Jesus, So Dignified Yet So Humble Poem by Emmanuel Odei Oduro

Jesus, So Dignified Yet So Humble

Jesus, So Dignified Yet So Humble

Our God is too unusual to be understood
He is too complex to comprehend
Peerlessly powerful yet matchlessly meek
Spiritual, thus invisible yet surprisingly close
Heavily and heftily holy yet forgives felons
Jesus so dignified yet so humble

Our God is amazingly all-knowing
He is self-existing and everywhere
Mankind's creator yet meek to His makings
All-powerful, has no limits yet gracious
Can create any decent and deluxe dwelling
Yet inconspicuously inhabits our praises
Jesus dearly dignified yet honestly humble

Our God is too superior to contest
He is too patient and purpose-driven to perplex
Superbly sophisticated yet uses simple systems
Has assorted archangels yet mindful of man
Man ungratefully persist in defying Him
Yet He never ever disowns mankind
Our God is so dignified yet so humble

Our God, is too loving to forsake us
He is too hateful of sin to reject preys of sin
Jesus knew no sin yet opted to bear our sins
Jesus could raise the dead yet meekly died for us
Jesus is all-powerful yet was obedient unto death
Jesus so dignified yet so humble

What manner of man is Jesus?
A man who is both a lion and a lamb
A man so peculiarly powerful
A man particularly peerless
A man who knows no-noes
A man who manifestly can man all matters

Yet, a Man of startling submissiveness
A man of obligation and obedience
Purely purposed to pay the prime price
So submitted to be the sacrificial lamb
Thus tolerated torture, disgrace and death
To ensure we are saved and justified
Jesus, so dignified yet so humble

Our Messiah is too immortal to be a prey of death
He is too timed to be held by the grave, unduly
Jesus the Son of God yet willfully became the son of man
Though royal and revered in rank yet became nobody
Typically a blessing to the needy yet was unjustly crucified
Jesus so dignified yet so humble

Jesus so dignify yet so humble
Rose from the dead ascended to heaven
Seated in majesty on the Father's right hand
Intercessor and our advocate
The coming King and Judge of the world
Jesus so meek and mild
Yet so powerful and dignified
