Jewels Poem by Michael Staples

Jewels

Rating: 5.0

Jewels

Your tainted golden hair,
Glistens, in certain sections.
Trying it’s best to hide the rest,
The rest of your imperfections.
It’s a fading gem.

Your onyx encrusted eyes,
have dimmed from toxic tears.
Toxic tears, of the many years,
Years, of your once told lies.
It’s a fading gem.

Your clear diamond skin,
Lets me see a pit of coal.
Where a burning ruby tries its best,
To keep igniting your soul.
Your a fading gem.
